About
Evan Frilingos is a photojournalism student at the University of Georgia and a photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia. Since he began his journey as a photographer in 2019, Evan has continued to develop his "street-documentary" style with a particular focus on capturing people and communities. He has worked with multiple organizations abroad and at home, such as PAW Kids in Atlanta, Amor y Esperanza in Ecuador, Makarios in the Dominican Republic, and he is a photo contributor at the reputable Athens newspaper, the Red and Black. Whether completing assignments or creating personal projects, Evan always looks to use his photography to elevate his subjects, their stories, and their communities. While he aspires to one day work for organizations such as National Geographic, his purpose remains sharing the stories of people and cultures that are unrecognized in history books, amplifying the voices of those who are unheard, and spreading love and connection between peoples and places. Look below for photos that expand on some of the topics covered here. If any of Evan's work or information catches your eye, please feel free to reach out, he is happy to talk.
